Dear Mr. Clinton

I see your true colors shining through
You loved America’s black people,
When we were voting for you
But now Mr. Clinton you have crossed the line

Now, I can see you are the shade of a different kind
I gave you my black vote and you received it well
But when you saw the success
Of a real black man, you called it a fairy tale
Well listen up Mr. Clinton, you listen good
You no longer can live in my neighborhood
You have been evicted and can’t move back in
The things you have said caused hurt deep within
But that wasn’t enough. You continued to speak, again and again.
No! I am not Hillary I refuse to accept the pain
There is a new black President we’ve voted for and will proclaim.
You once were the one that we really adored
Then we found out our feelings were truly ignored
I was shocked, devastated and even floored
To listen to the words your mouth had poured.
So now Mr. Clinton there is someone new
This fine young man is genuine and true
He listens and cares and he knows what he will do
I’m trusting that GOD will see him through
For the good of the people of every race
And to make big decisions he has yet to face
Barack Obama, I am praying for GOD’s good grace
Until we all meet him face to face.

    I don’t have anything and
    You can’t take anything
Cause all I had is gone
The economy in the past eight years
Has come and caused great harm
No food to eat, no shoes on my feet
My house has been taken away
My prayer is that these next 8 years
    Will bring a brighter day
    I’ve lost my job
    It’s been shipped overseas
And trust me, I have been praying
    For a change to come
    Or someone to come
And hear me and what I am saying
    As I write this poem
    George Bush is on
    Speaking on the economy
What can he do, his term is through
And his twin is seeking votes from you
But I have a choice, so I lift my voice
    and Obama is my solution
He wants’ to bring back our jobs
And get us out of this confusion
    He’ll seek out the best
To help us out of this mess
Then I’ll know that my prayers have been heard
And you have a voice, so make the right choice
And vote against a republican third
